Privacy notice
This is a short notice because this is a simple website. It loads nothing from advertising networks, and it only counts visits with Google Analytics if you say yes to the question at the bottom of the page. The only personal details it handles are the ones you choose to send us.
Who we are
TR Trees is a tree surgery business based near Carnon Downs, Truro. For anything about your data, email info@trtrees.co.uk.
The contact form
When you send an enquiry we receive your name, the email address or phone number you give, where the tree is if you tell us, and what you wrote about the job. We use those details to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to arrange and carry out the work. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not pass your details to anyone else for marketing.
The form is delivered to our inbox by an email sending service, Resend, which processes the message in order to deliver it. Enquiry emails are kept for as long as we need them to deal with the job, and deleted after that. If you phone or email us directly the same applies.
Cookies and tracking
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, but only after you press “Allow” on the notice at the bottom of the page. Until then nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookies are set. If you allow it, Google sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) that last up to two years, and receives your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit; Google’s own privacy policy applies to that data. Choose “No thanks” and the site remembers that choice in your browser instead. No advertising or social media tracking scripts are used, and fonts are served from this site rather than from a third party.
The video on the home page is served from this site and plays only when you press play. Nothing is loaded from a video platform.
Hosting and logs
Like any website, the server that hosts this one records basic technical information about requests, such as the address the request came from and the page asked for, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use those records to identify visitors.
Links to other sites
The site links to our Google Business Profile and our Facebook page. Those sites have their own privacy notices and set their own cookies once you are there.
Your rights
You can ask what details we hold about you, ask for them to be corrected or deleted, or object to how they are used, by emailing the address above. If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If the site ever starts using embedded maps or any other third party service, this notice will be updated first.
