Discounted firewood from the trees we work on

If you choose us to carry out a package of work and we remove timber from your property, we offer 50 percent off the equivalent cut and split firewood delivered back to you. If, for example, we remove four cubic metres of ordinary timber in manageable lengths, we will deliver two cubic metres of split firewood back to you for half its normal price. Terms apply, and we explain them when we quote.

Timber from a tree lost to honey fungus or another disease is kept out of the firewood we sell on, which is one reason the discount is for the timber we take rather than a fixed amount.

Our logs are about 8 inches long and a 50/50 mix of softwood and hardwood. We take timber from two large separate piles and split them together so that each load has an equal share of both. Hardwood burns longer; softwood lights quickly and burns hotter. Together they suit a wood burner well.

Logs are sold as a load of 2 cubic metres, costing £220 including 5% VAT. Jordan uses his own wood burner almost daily through the winter, for the whole evening, and gets through around four to six cubic metres between October and April, which is a fair guide for a house heated the same way.

We can offer 25 percent off unseasoned logs if you have somewhere dry to store them for a year. Free delivery within the TR3 postcode, a small charge beyond.
